Today I was purchasing a ticket to the east coast from San Francisco and get my regular offer to buy more miles (which I already have 710,000 of). And the shocking thing is that United has increased the price of their mileage points for cash purchase from 2 cents to 2.8 cents. That is a 40% increase over just some few months. And the cost of buying an airplane ticket using miles is still the same, so the prices at United is going when using miles to purchase tickets. Thanks United for making sure all the frequent fliers are so valuable to you…..welll……maybe not!!!!
